You are here:

Diabetes is the condition in which the body does not properly process food for use as energy. Most of the food you eat is turned into glucose,( or sugar) for your bodies to use for energy. Your body needs hormone called insulin to help glucose get into the cells of your bodies which is done by the pancreas, an organa in the body.  Diabetes is also a condition associated with abnormally high levels of glucose( sugar) in the blood. Absence or insufficient production of insulin, or an inability of the body to properly use insulin causes diabetes.

If left untreated long time, high sugar levels ( which is called Diabetics )  in your blood can seriously damage parts of your body, including your eyes, heart and feet. But with the right treatment and care, you can live well with diabetes and reduce the risk of developing them.

Symptoms of Diabetes

Most common symptom of diabetes is feeling very tired. There might be other symptoms including feeling thirsty than normal, going to toilet a lot and loosing weight. If you have these symptoms you are strongly recommended for medical advice.

Type 2 Diabetics

Type 2 diabetes is the condition that causes too much sugar in your blood and it could cause serious health problems if not treated.

Is Type 2 Diabetic serious?

Type 2 diabetes is a serious medical condition that often requires the use of anti-diabetic medication, or insulin to keep blood

sugar levels under control. However, the development of type 2 diabetes and its side effects (complications) can be prevented if detected and treated at an early stage.

Living with type 2 Diabetics

How to live with type 2 diabetes can be challenging. Willingly or unwillingly, you need to live with Diabetics, once you get it. Some people can manage it through healthier eating alone, but  most people will need medication to bring their blood sugar down. Whatever suitable combination has to be carefully determined by a qualified and experienced medical and clinical staff. This process need to be periodically monitored and assessed also.

Type 1 Diabetics

Type 1 Diabetics is very serious, although it is not common like Type 2 diabetics. Type 1 Diabetics has nothing to do with lifestyle or diet but it just happens. Still, no exact reason for that has been found though there are various researches ongoing.  When you have type 1 diabetics, your body attacks the cells in your pancreas that make insulin so you cannot produce any insulin at all.

If you get Type 1 Diabetics you need to get Insulin by injecting into the body or use an insulin pump which gives a constant supply of insulin then that insulin controls your sugar level.

What is the difference with Type 2 and Type 1 Diabetics?

Very simply, patients with Type 1 Diabetics do not produce insulin at all. Patient with Type 2 Diabetics, produce some insulin but not adequate.
