A new era in Health care service

Queensbury Hospitals is owned and managed by Queensbury Hospitals ( Pvt) Ltd, a limited liability company registered in Sri Lanka. Sri Lanka born investors, at present mainly living in the UK, made major part of it’s investment as FDI ( foreign Direct Investment ) It is a BOI ( Board of Investment of Sri Lanka ) approved investment project and authorised and regulated by Private Health Services Regulatory Council (PHSRC) of Ministry of Health.

Construction works of the new building complex was commenced in 2017 and hospital opened for patients in August 2020.

Queensbury Hospital is the latest addition to the field of private healthcare services in the area. With the shifting of Galle General Hospital to new building complex in Karapitiya and establishment of Medical faculty of Ruhuna University in the same area was the beginning of new chapter of developing this small town as the medical hub of Galle District. The Galle Maternity Hospital also is due to shift to new building complex in same area soon. However, private hospitals which were established in Galle city centre still not shifted to nearby areas except only one new private hospital started and functioning. There was a growing demand for quality private health care services in Karapitiya and establishment of Queensbury hospital is to fill this vacuum to a certain extent.

Investors main vision is to provide world class healthcare service at affordable cost while introducing high quality ethics in the field of patient care. Thereby investors USP ( Unique Selling Proposition) is Quality health care services at comparatively lowest rates for every body’s satisfaction including equal treatment. Investors are keen to introduce world class standard and health care practices to the extent they are matching and affordable to Sri Lankan atmosphere. In order to fulfil this task they hope to introduce importance of high quality care for everybody with equality, friendliness and responsibility through attitude and procedural improvements.

Queensbury Hospital proud to offer all the facilities similar to a Secondary care General Hospital. It is brand new, purpose build, fully air conditioned, seven story building complex with state of art equipment and well qualified and professional medical, clinical and front office staff. Additionally it has ample parking facilities ( under ground & over ground) with dual road access.

We hope to reach local community through Queensbury Foundation, the community support arm of the Queensbury Hospital, which is a charity registered in England & Wales. Queensbury Foundation expects to run its charity works in Sri Lanka mainly through contributions from Kingsbury Autocare Ltd ( a registered company in England & wales), Queensbury Hospitals and contributions from worldwide donors.

QH has committed to protect environment in local area which includes , among other things, advanced Sewerage Treatment Plant & well designed clinical and general waste management system.

QH’s priorities includes helping for uplifting of local economy by way of job opportunities, encouraging local products, helping local businesses, local organisations, local schools and events etc. For the purpose Queensbury College of Nursing is already in operation in partnership with National Vocational Training Authority.

Queensbury Sky Club will facilitate sky watching facilities from the equipment to be fixed on the roof top of the building complex for education and leisure purposes, as a part of it’s community support programme.
