The mission of Queensbury College of Nursing (QCN) is to train youngsters ( both male & female) who like to choose their carrier as nurses. For the purpose a one year training programme has been  designed and it involve lectures and practical training.  Clinical and practical training will be provided in the QH. Student nurses will get the access for live  demonstration facilities through  multi media video camera system at the final stage of training.

One module on para-medics has been included in the programme in order to give awareness on the subject and guide those who like to become para-medics.

Complete training will be provided free of charge and student nurses who are unable to travel daily due to distance  will be provided with free  accommodation depending on the availability.

After one year training, those who are successful have the choice to join Queensbury Hospital as Junior Nurses depending on the available vacancies.

Basic requirement will be between age of 18 – 28 with 6 subjects in GCE(OL) and minimum height of 5’.0” All applicants should have good communication skills, good knowledge in Sinhala/Tamil and acceptable knowledge in English. Lectures and practical training will be in both Sinhala and English.

First batch of will be limited to 15 and those who are interested can register now. Selection will be done following an interview.
